Jenkins to Jets for a 3rd and a 5th

Really? Kris Jenkins is worth all that?

Sounds like the Jets are the alcoholics.

For the Jets it gives them a big body in the middle of their 3-4 scheme. At least give them credit for committing to it, and the picks can be somewhat replaced by the Vilma to Saints deal, but those picks are in 2009. I just don’t think it’s a great move for them.

Still, for Panthers fans it’s a boon. Jenkins wasn’t what he used to be, and the picks can be gold. I’m sure most Carolina fans are aware Steve Smith was a 3rd round pick.

As long as the Jets can get another NT to rotate in w/Jenkins when he gets a little winded- good job. remember- you win with Defens-the days of building through the draft ended when Free Agency came arround-why wouldnt Carolina keep him?

Also, as a jets fan this is a great trade and maybe our biggest NEED on Defense. J Vilma is gone now because we haven’t had someone to protect him. Look at the Raven, Ray Lewis was great because he had a big body in front of him. We don’t need Jenkins to be a Pro Bowler we need him to be a middle of the line clog! Great trade and we still have Robertson who is out of place for trade to get those picks back! Plus what we got in the Vilma trade. It actually looks like the Front office finally figured this D need thing out. Now if we can fix the QB position we may have a chance.
