Review: Jever Pilsner

Drink Date: 11/6/2010
Review Date: 11/6/2010
Grade: B-

On tap at Amity Hall in NYC during lunch break from class. What’s up Nicola!

The beer is clear. Bubbles rising through the filtered sheen just like you want in a pilsner. There’s a nice sustaining thin head. Smell is clean too, with a hint of hops. Maybe pine. The taste lets those hops come out, and they are the most dominant flavor. Besides that, it’s pretty boring. Good carbonation, nice finish, drinkable.

Well done, but boring. Like a burger with no fixin’s.
