This is one that fortunately my girl likes. No beerface. At 9% abv. That’s impressive. Mental note: made.
As for me, I’m impressed by the pour. It’s a dark amber and brown beer with a lovely head and lacing, no legs. It smells like rich and dark fruity malts, honey, citrus and booze.
Taste is similar. The front of it you get the Belgian type yeasty and sweetness, and then there’s an odd spike of honey right before the final note of burnt malts. Interesting, but not for me.
The beer is full of carbonation, and has a medium body that fills the mouth. Ultimately, it’s just a weird taste. Maybe that’s because the 2 train is actually an express.
