I’m having this courtesy of the Michigan beer box my sister brought back for Thanksgiving. Thanks, Em!
Short’s American IPA is a good one. It’s murky amber color sits underneath persistent head and lacing. This is probably the headiest IPA I’ve ever poured. It smells like a standard IPA. Hops, a little roastiness, maybe some citrus tang. Taste is hop forward, like you would expect. Hops finish it too, and the malts try to peek through in the center. It’s a well-built beer.
The carbonation keeps it full in the mouth on a medium body, and it’s as drinkable as any other solid India Pale Ale. Wish it were my style.
